Drug Store Skin Care Haul

We are now in the middle of winter and like every year, my skin has dried up and I have spots of dry skin all over my face (how attractive I make myself sound!) If you follow me on Twitter, @missedenmarkl, you will have seen that I have been after a face serum for a little while now but I had no idea which to try first.

Today I thought I would have a walk into Hartlepool town and get myself some skin products to try.

The Serum I decided on was the Make Yourself Youthful 2, Super Serum By Soap and Glory. I always love the Soap and Glory products so thought this would be a safe bet for my first ever serum buy. The packaging on this product is simply gorgeous; I cannot wait to start using it! I am going to introduce it into my beauty routine from tonight so watch this space for a review in a week or so time.
My next purchase was a 6 in 1 Multi Active Moisture Lotion for Daily Youth 365 By Soap and Glory. This product honestly smells amazing!
My final Soap and Glory purchase was the No Clogs Allowed, Super Self Heating Deep Pore Detox Mask. Seen as the Soap and Glory products mentioned were all included within a 3 for 2 offer, I thought I would give something different a try.
I have always loved face masks so I am very excited to give this a try. It also changes colour when it’s activated (WOW)! It does state on it for oily/combination skin though so it is a slight risk for me, yet I am hoping in some way this may help my current blotching dry skin – I shall let you know after I have given it a try.

My next sets of products purchased are all from the Simple range. I love this brand and have used it since my teenage years. I have always suffered from sensitive skin and I have found that this product has never once given me a reaction, for me it is a very safe bet.
From the Simple range I purchased the Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes, these have been a love of mine for ever! I love how the feel on my skin, they are so soft and do exactly what they say on the tin (so to speak). I keep these in my draw for just in cases, they are also a must for any type of traveling as there easy to pack and you don’t need to worry about leaking!
From the same range I also purchased the Kind to Eyes Eye Make Up Remover, I decided to purchase this as I really do need to start removing my mascara properly, this is a major bad habit of mine, I am always waking up with panda eyes. Since I have decided to step up my skin care what a better time than now to add this in!
I also bought from Simple the Kind to Skin Pore Minimising Toning Cleanser, I will use this and eye make-up remover before the Soap and Glory moisturiser and serum to ensure that all my make-up is off!

I am interested to know what Serums people use, please let me know in the comments what your experience of them are and what skin care products your using?

The Soap and Glory products featured within this blog were all purchased from Boots and the Simple products were all bought from Wilkinsons
