Body Shop at the Metro Centre Christmas Blogger Event

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited down to the Body Shop store at the Metro Centre in Gateshead too see what they have in store this Christmas and I must stay I really did get that old festive feeling!

As Blogger Meet tradition would have it we were welcomed to the store with open arms and treated to some yummy treats and even a yummier drink (which I very stupidly forgot to take note of so now I am trying all the fizzy like drinks that Marks and Sparks have to offer!)

After stuffing my face as I took in there sparkly, new Christmas range I got welcomed over to have a hand massage, choosing the Glazed Apple range (which smells divine!) my hands smelt not only amazingly fresh but so insanely soft after having all the products massaged in - something I really wish I would experience more, it was too relaxing to even try and explain! It made me realise I really do want to up my game on taking care of my skin! sorry skin for 26 years of outdoors neglect!

I was then asked if I wanted to see what skin type I was using there in store Ipad which asked you a bunch of questions then at the end concluded what your skin type is and also what is the best products to use. Even though I have always known that I have dry/normal skin I have never really known what would be best for me to use within my normal, daily routine, I normally just choose either what's the prettiest or what smells the tastiest! You will need to trust me when I say that the ladies within the Metro Centre store really know there stuff! I learnt so much! I am best to use a skin product that has vitamin E in. 'Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects and repairs skin. Antioxidants are agents that neutralize the oxidant effect of free radicals, which are molecules that damage collagen and cause skin dryness, fine lines and wrinkles.' After having my skin pampered with all the right products, which left me feeling so fresh and amazing (and again I realised how badly I treat my skin) I was asked if I fancy a make over and of course, like most girls, I said yes! Anyone can pop into store for a make over at any time for FREE but if you want a really good pamper just give the store a call and book in before hand so they can make sure someone is free to really give you the VIP treatment!

I absolutely loved visiting the Gateshead Store, the staff were so friendly and really did know there stuff! My absolutely Favourite product that I tried this night would have to be the Oils of Life Facial Oil it just melts into your skin giving it such a smooth and softer feel! I complete must have in my eyes!

What is your fave Body Shop product from either past or present?
